Thursday 9th Dcember at sea!

Well after a soggy start to our trip, The wet clothes have dried - luggage finally arrived about 9.30 - we unpacked draped the wet clothes around the cabin and fell into bed. I wont bore you with all the details of the wet start to our trip as we are now very relaxed after a lovely lunch and a glass of pinot noir. We are one hour ahead of Melbourne and heading towards Auckland. We had about 30 mins of quite choppy seas a short while ago, but its smooth sailing so far.. (bound to be some puns here and there) We have both settled into quite spacious state room, plenty room for two people. We are getting to know the layout of the ship and haven't got lost as yet. We had a bit of a walk this morning, spent some time browsing the shops, the Casino, various lounges and ended up playing bingo. Neither of us won - it was pretty boring to be honest...
It's a formal night tonight so will be dressing up and having some fun - will join in the Karaoke tonight. Jill and I did practise many times for this very event!!!
